This Steven bomb felt more jam packed with history and backstory than any before it. It was certainly worth the wait during the holiday hiatus. Not only that, but it seemed to not so subtly highlight some common real world problems, such as being demeaned for wanting to be with the "wrong' type of person, as well as consent and the importance of accepting that no means no - even if a yes came first. I love this quote from the below article: "Sapphire and Garnet try to comprehend why their fusion felt so natural and right despite going against everything their society has ever taught them."
