Yellow Diamond was pretty clear with Peridot that she wanted the Cluster. But why? Did she really hate Rose Quartz so much that she simply wanted the planet destroyed? Why wait 5,000 years? Peridot apparently didn't think there were any gems left on Earth. Why not send ships and warriors to destroy it sooner, if she just wanted to spite Rose Quartz. What did she need the Cluster for?
