• Hey, It's That Voice! #12: Reagan Gomez-Preston

Hello and welcome again to "Hey, It's That Voice!" Are you ready to see more of the voices behind the Steven Universe characters? Well, you're in luck because today we are looking at two characters: the Pizza twins, Jenny and Kiki!

Jenny and Kiki Pizza are two characters I love seeing. Perhaps it's the perfect family dynamic that looks and sounds so perfect. Or maybe it's that I see Jenny and Kiki as my own brother and myself. They also feel very real and natural (Ian Jones-Quartey actually told me that Jenny and Kiki were based on his own cousins). But who is the voice of these twins? That would be Reagan Gomez-Preston!

    Sibling love.

Reagan Gomez-Preston was born April 24, 1980 in Detroit, Michigan. After her family moved to Philadelphia, she attended Philadelphia's Freedom Theatre where she began taking lessons in singing, dancing, and acting. In 1994, after her parent's divorce, she and her mother and brother moved to Los Angeles so Reagan could pursue a career in acting. Almost immediately, she got her first role the made-for-TV movie Freaky Friday. She then landed her first major role in the WB sitcom The Parent 'Hood, playing the Zaria Peterson.

Gomez-Preston would have a number of other small roles in various works. These included Moesha, Jerry Maguire, Smart Guy, Felicity, Martial Law, Carmen: The Hip Hopera, The Amanda Show, That 70's Show, That's Life, Off Centre, Love Don't Cost A Thing, JAG, One on One, 'Til Death, ER, Hair Show, The Soul Man, Love That Girl!, Instant Mom, and Rick And Morty. She did star as one of the main cast of the short-lived sitcom Love, Inc. as Francine. Gomez-Preston also had a major role in the films A Gang Land Love Story, Love Will Keep Us Together, Dysfunctional Friends, and If You Really Love Me. Most notably, she has been the voice of Roberta Tubbs in the animated series The Cleveland Show ever since the departure of Nia Long.

But outside of acting, what else does Gomez-Preston do? She is also a writer, having written and produced the television drama Almost Home and Surviving..., where she written and directed the first episode.

Well, that will be it for this edition of "Hey, It's That Voice!". Who will be next? Well, you'll just have to wait to find out! Until then, see ya!
