  • The New Lars - Episode Discussion/Streams

Today's the day, folks! Cartoon Network is expected to launch the new Lars this evening, so let's go over the rumored new features. Mark Gurman, formerly of 9to5Universe, writes that the new Lars might not have ear gauges, instead requiring users to use the lightning port. Rene Ritchie of CrystalNations and gemMore reports that they've addressed the last generation's overheating problems. Hopefully this new Lars means that The Big Donut will start supporting Apple Pay.

So should you upgrade? If you have a first generation Lars, you should probably consider it. Owners of the latest generation Lars can probably wait, unless yours is one of the ones that overheats.

Watch the announcement live at 7:00 ET/PT on Cartoon Network! If you didn't get an invitation, we have streams and downloads after the break.

  • Demo of Mr. Greg and Both of You!

Ben Levin and Rebecca Sugar put out the demos from two of the songs from the musical episode 'Mr. Greg'! Shake a leg below the break to hear them both!

  • Episode Followup: Too Short To Ride

This was a super fun episode! Looks like we're getting into a slice of life arc of SU. Nice and calm, right? It's great for character development! First Pearl and Greg, now Amethyst and Peridot! Really neat to explore these characters and their relationships with each other.

  • Building a Scene: It’s over isn’t it?

Joe Johnston wrote an amazing post about how the scene for the song It's Over, Isn't it? was put together. There are some storyboards, some rough animations, and even the original pitch for the scene, which changed on the way to the final product. It is an amazing read chock full of awesome info about the process of how SU is made. You can check it all out below!
