Say, wasn't there a lot of buildup in the first few episodes about how the gems continued to protect mankind from gem monsters. Most of us probably just thought they were some other type of alien that had been dropped here along with the CGs. But, turns out, "All those monster we fight used to be just like us!" Well, that was a mid-season bombshell. So now that Centipeetle is free and Jasper is corrupted, what's it all leading up to?
