• Hey, It's That Voice! #62: Kathleen Fisher

Hello and welcome back to the article that takes a peek behind all the characters in Steven Universe. It's time for "Hey, It's That Voice!" Today, we will look at that big fusion that has six gems to create her, Fluorite!

Fluorite is a big, wise, and grandmotherly gem to all the Off Colors. She's calm and collected with herself (after all, she has to go through six different gems before replying since each gem has their own thoughts and opinions). We haven't seen a whole lot of the Off Colors yet, and hopefully we'll see more of Fluorite and the rest of the gang with he upcoming episodes! But who is the voice of this giant gem? Why, that would be Kathleen Fisher!

Seems that Fluorite has done this a few times.

Kathleen Fisher, who also goes by Kathy, was born June 1, 1966 in Middlebourne, West Virginia. In 1995, she married Ron Wasserman who is best known for his soundtrack work. A few of his credits include the soundtrack for X-Men: The Animated Series, the soundtrack and theme song to Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, and the soundtrack to the original English dub of Dragon Ball Z to name a few. Together with her husband, Fisher is also part of the band Fisher (named after her). As a band, they have opened for Oasis and Lisa Loeb in the past and their music has been featured in numerous television shows and commercials.

In fact, Kathleen Fisher has supplied her musical talents to a number of television shows and films. These have included Dream Lover, Sweet Valley High, God, Sex, & Apple Pie, Casper Meets Wendy, King Cobra, Mind Games, Bones, Death Sentence, Promise Me, and Sing Along.

What about acting work, you might be wondering. Well, for Fisher, she hasn't done much outside of Fluorite. In fact, her only other role was a guest appearance in an episode of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers as a singer.

And that will do it for this edition of "Hey, It's That Voice!" Join us next time when we look at a character that made their debut at this year's San Diego Comic-Con!
