Who thinks Rose Quartz will come back somehow for the finale of SU? It's probably one of the more plausible theories I've heard for the show. I'm not sure how it'd be done, but hey, if Steven can be the first human/gem hybrid, who knows what else is possible?

Historical Friction - the episode where we learn that mayorhood in Beach City is apparently passed down from generation to generation - guess that means that Buck will eventually have to take over the family "business"? I guess if you start a town like William Dewey did that you get to decide how the government is structured. Although Mayor Dewey does run election campaigns, so I guess it's just coincidence that the Dewey family seems to have always been mayor? That or nobody else cares to do it.

How's it hanging tonight? Last day of the weekend before work/school starts again tomorrow. How come Steven only celebrated his birthday with Connie, the gems, and Greg? Why didn't he invite the cool kids? Or Sadie and Lars? At the very least, Sadie. Maybe everybody was working? But Kiki is always shirking work, she totally would have come... and it doesn't seem like Sour Cream and Buck have jobs. I mean plot-wise it was better for it to just be the group that was in the episode, but logically wouldn't Steven have invited everyone in town?

The Italian dub for SU is fantastic! Since we've probably watched this scene many times, both because this episode is awesome and because of the YTPs surrounding it, it isn't hard to keep up with what's going on even if it is in a foreign language.

Despite New Promos, SU is Still on Hiatus

Tumblr user madridista-4-life (who is usually the first to post the DailyMotion link for new episodes), has compiled a list of new episodes airing on Cartoon Network during March. Included are shows like Adventure Time and We Bare Bears... but not SU. Yep, despite promos (which came from the UK, not the US), SU has so far not been scheduled for new episodes in March.

Look at Peri in that cute little rain poncho! Imagine her discovering clothes and accessories. Steven would probably enjoy dressing her up in different outfits. And putting hair clips in her hair. Also imagine her getting obsessed with things that have little green heads on them, until one day she asks Steven what they mean and Steven tells her about aliens and conspiracy theories and she just laughs because gems are the only other creatures out in space, and these guys look nothing like gems. Then he points out that without hair she'd look kind of similar and she wonders if the green aliens heads are based on a previous Peridot that had interacted with humans.

Evening all! Pearl and Amethyst really do make a good fighting duo. Garnet is cool and all, but she has two fists - she's already got the double weapon thing going. Plus they're both defective gems so they work well with each other because they can boost each other's self esteem. Listen, I'm not trying to sell anyone on Pearlmethyst, but I'm always trying to sell everyone on Pearlmethyst. At least they've had canon interaction!
