Last time on StevenBall Future, Steven went Super-Steven and handily defeated Earth's most powerful warrior, Jasper. Now that Jasper swears her loyalty, there's only one place to go: Homeworld. Home of the most powerful gem warriors in the universe. Can Steven destroy the Diamonds and their guardian Spinel to achieve his rightful position as ruler of the universe? Peace was never an option.
Tonight, we have four action packed episodes. The final four:
Homeworld Bound:
I mean honestly, the conquest probably take Steven all of 10 minutes. After all, the Diamonds don't suspect a thing. After casting their shattered remains into the core of the planet, Steven will be the ruler of the entire Gempire. The last Diamond standing. And then...
Everything's Fine:
You know what they say, the conquest is more fun than the kingdom. Even with Connie's extensive knowledge of political science and sociology, this Gempire won't run itself. Steven's a warrior now! He can't sit and hold court all day. But what to do? He beat everybody! There's no-one left! Unless...
I Am My Monster:
Unless he fights himself. That's right, it's time for the bout of the eon! But how will he pull it off? Cloning? Please. He's the ruler of all Gemkind now. He can just have them build another Hourglass! Armed with his brand new time machine, he's free to jump all throughout his own past, defeating himself as many times as he wishes. That is, unless he's defeated himself! The Hourglass gets damaged in the scuffle and catapults Steven into...
The Future:
This is it, folks, the whole point of the show. As Steven wanders around the temporal landscape, unstuck from time, he can observe the web of his potential futures spread out before him in a way Garnet only wishes she could. How do most of them turn out? How many of them have him marrying Connie? How many of him show his lust for power and conquest overcoming and destroying him? How will he get out of this temporal purgatory and lock back into a timeline? And will he be able to pick the best one?
Or not. I've been wrong about these predictions occasionally. Can't win 'em all!
The Future comes to an end starting at 7 PM ET/PT on Cartoon Network. If you're unstuck from time and can't make it back in time for the show, Don't worry! We've got streams and downloads after the break.
And hey, it's been quite a ride, hasn't it? On behalf of the Beach City Bugle staff, thank you for taking this journey with us. As we pull into this final stop, don't despair. After all, who knows what The Future holds?
Here we are in The Future, and it's bright.
