At the San Diego Comic Con this last weekend, the creators of Steven Universe announced that an upcoming episode will feature Jinkx Monsoon, voicing a villainous Crystal Gem named Emerald, one of show’s many jewel-powered aliens fighting an intergalactic war.

During the audience Q&A portion of the show's Comic-Con panel on Friday, "Steven Universe" creator Rebecca Sugar confirmed that Fluorite is a representation of a polyamorous relationship. "Oh, yes," Sugar said. "Absolutely."
