Ball State Daily put out a very nice analytical article about Rebecca Sugar and her show, Steven Universe. Be sure to check it out at the link below. There are also several other shows worth watching that get mentioned, so if you're looking for something to fill that new hiatus void, CN does in fact have other shows besides Teen Titans Go. Definitely an interesting read.
Unlike a typical action/adventure show, Steven Universe goes the extra mile by including heartfelt characters with realistic development, excellent music, and a mysterious backstory that touches on themes of war, identity, and good and evil. All wrapped up in a colorful, imaginative, and seemingly lighthearted cartoon.
