A quick theory about an upcoming episode!
i’m sorry if this has been said before, i mean i’m sure others must have noticed too, but i just wanted to point it all out in one post. sooo oo o o
consider the following:
1. alexandrite and malachite’s fight destroys the warp pad
2. out of these characters, only one can fly (long distances, and pay in mind the island is tropical. shapeshifting for that long is probably out)
3. which explains why said character seems to be the only one of them who’s at the barn soon after.
for this point, it’s also interesting to note that steven and peridot were REALLY scared, and lapis had to step in to deal with the situation alone. there were noticeably no senior crystal gems present, not even close. they are not at the barn.
4. …which means that, most likely, these gems are now stuck on the island in the aftermath of the fight, while steven, lapis and peridot are alone (though thanks to malachite exploding, it is also possible jasper is currently just in gem form)
