Hello and welcome back to the article that takes a look at the voices of all the characters you know and love! It's time for "Hey, It's That Voice!" Today, we will be looking at two gems that seem to play the legal game. Let us take a look at the Zircons!
Even Homeworld seems to have a love of due process and dealing with things properly in the courtroom, so that gives us the Zircons (perhaps they are fans of Phoenix Wright?). We have already met two Zircons; Blue Zircon, who as was defending Steven, and Yellow Zircon, who was on the prosecuting side. As we could tell from the start, the two Zircons seemed to have quite a history with each other that I'm sure we won't mind seeing. Needless to say, these Zircons are bright and very good at what they do. After all, Steven was more than willing to say that he was guilty and Blue Zircon was able to bring a lot of reasonable doubt for Steven's (obvious) innocence. Now then, who voices these two lawyer gems? Why, that would be Amy Sedaris!
We've all been there, Blue Zircon, we've all been there. |
Amy Sedaris was born Endicott, New York on March 29, 1961 and grew up in Raleigh, North Carolina. Her older brother is David Sedaris, a fellow comedian, humorist, author, and radio contributor. In her younger days, Sedaris would show her humor (and vindictiveness) many times. At her first job working at a Winn-Dixie market where she would use the microphone to make fake announcements, prompting the head cashier to confiscate the microphone. After work, Sedaris would egg the cashier's car in protest.
Sedaris would move to Chicago in the 1990s where should joined the comedy troupes of The Second City and Annoyance Theatre. While working with those comedy troupes, she became fast friends with other comedians such as longtime collaborators Stephen Colbert and Paul Dinello (the later of which she would have an eight year relationship with, but still remain close friends). With Colbert, Dinello, and other alumni from The Second City, Sedaris would create the Comedy Central sketch comedy show Exit 57 in 1995.
