You may remember one of the writers from Steven Universe, the storyboarder probably best known for their wacky drawings of Peridot and birthday requests for Lapis Lazuli smiling, as well as a super cool zine that was exclusive to San Diego Comic Con 2016. Plus, they storyboarded a scene where Peridot eats.
Recently, they've had some financial troubles, so the community has come together to support them! They may not work on SU anymore, but they're still a pretty cool person and helped make some fantastic episodes. Be sure to join the charity stream tomorrow and hang out with some cool SU fellows and help a good cause!

Teen Vogue just put out a wonderful article featuring an interview with series creator Rebecca Sugar. It is a fantastic read, so check out the preview below and then hit up that link to get the full article. It's pretty short, but really gives insight into how the show is driven and run and how much it means to Sugar. Please give it a read!
“We never wanted to shy away from anything that felt real,” Rebecca told Teen Vogue. “One of the goals early on was to show Steven living in a very real world, where all of the adults around him are living very adult lives and having adult problems. He’s slowly getting this window into the heaviness of reality for everyone around him. I wanted the show to be able to grow up with the audience and to be realizing all these sorts of heavy, beautiful, and complicated things about what maturity is.”
