From what we've seen of rubies, it's generally accepted that they were just generic soldiers who didn't serve a Diamond. But if soldiers aren't meant to serve a Diamond, why did Jasper, a different type of soldier, have a yellow diamond emblem on her uniform? Perhaps the rubies were in the midst of changing their loyalty from one Diamond to another, but had to prove themselves before they could wear the colors. What do you think?
