Little Ursa here, back from two conventions this weekend! Hard to believe that I did two, back to back conventions in a single weekend, but I did it and I'm here to share with you what happened! My adventures with Lion continue after the break!
"Great Scott!" |
Nerd Con is a small, multi-fandom convention in Escondido, California. It's a nice little break of a convention after something like San Diego Comic-Con. It's actually at the Escondido Performing Arts Center, which gives it quite a different layout:
To say it was spread out would be an understatement (it was in three different buildings and outside), but that certainly didn't stop Lion and I from running into some of my friends!
"This ain't no Solgaleo that I've ever seen!" |
"I certainly hope K-9 doesn't get jealous." |
And above is my friend Destiny, better known as Dancing Dragon Cosplay.
Lion also made plenty of new friends at the convention:
"So, you're a cat, too? |
"I heard you liek me." |
They were taking a break from adventuring in the Land of Ooo. |
I....I can't think of anything to say here. But they were amazing Black Panther cosplays and an awesome Bishop. |
"Hello, luvs!" |
But with all the new friends that Lion and I met, we were happy to see a number of familiar faces:
As with any other convention, I always take a picture of my convention haul. Sadly, there isn't much for this convention, but I did take a picture of my gift for a friend (hopefully, she won't see it here until I give it to her):

Be on the look out for my recap of my second convention of last weekend: Comic Con Palm Springs!
