My dudes! It's another awesome graphic novel from SU! EW did an amazing interview with the creators. The comic is supposed to align with canon and be a bonus to episodes, but not required reading to understand everything happening in the show. Judging by how excited the creators are, this comic is going to be so awesome! Check out the source for the interview and some cool details!
KaBOOM! — an imprint of BOOM! Studios — will be publishing an original graphic novel based on the show, EW has learned exclusively.

The SU comic, Too Cool For School, originally set to be released in March, has now been pushed back to April. Fans will have to wait a little longer for Connie and Steven to go on an adventure. Rebecca Sugar is even aiding with the comic, so it should fit in right along with canon, and help people get through the hiatuses. You can pre-order a copy at the link above, and get the graphic novel when it releases.

Check out that awesome exclusive cover by Missy Pena! And guess what? This series is a four parter, which means Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl will all have their own covers too (which you can see below the break)! True to SU form, the gems tell Steven everything is fine - and it turns out it's not. When the Crystal Gems tell Steven a campfire tale, they have to reassure him it’s just a story, but when they return home it looks like that story has come to life.

"Yeah… Wait. I can do that too?"—Steven, Steven Universe
Okay, let's see how this goes! Calpain graciously asked me to cover the news related to the Steven Universe Comic Series by Boom, much like how I've been doing the same on EQD for the MLP Comic Series by IDW.
Naturally, BCB is a little backlogged on this series! It's not like this is EQD—which was already in existence when the MLP Comic Series was announced and (and launched in November of 2012). After all, we just launched!
So, to catch up ASAP, this first post will be a compilation of the first eight issues of the Main SU Comic Series, as well as the Greg Universe Special Issue. With of course discussions to be happening in the comments section for all issues released thus far.
I am looking forward to the mass chaos discussing nine comics at once will create!
So without further delay… let us begin the Beach City Bugle's coverage of Steven Universe—The Comic Series!
