Some SU fans can have theories that have pretty strong and concrete evidence. Sometimes things that fans come up with actually happen in the show. Other times, they're so plausible that people accept them as fact, sometimes even ignoring if the show contradicts a fan theory. But there is definitely a difference between what happens in canon, and what happens in fanon.
