With hiatuses abounding for Steven Universe, the writing has to be pretty far ahead of where the show is now. Some dubs even release the day after the English episode airs, so there is enough time for episodes to be recorded in their native language and dubbed in time for a simultaneous release.
Season 6 is already in production and season 5 still has 7 episodes to go (6 if one turns out to be a half hour special). It looks like season 6 may be changing up the game once we start getting those episodes. How would you feel about 22 minute episodes?
