Hey there everyone! It's interesting that even though the Crystal Gems exist and are canonically aliens, humans still hold on to the classic 'little green man' type of alien. Perhaps a Peridot was the first type of alien that humans encountered, but throughout the years the vision of what an alien looked like was misconstrued. Neat theory to think about!
