Lapis should rightfully feel guilty for what she's done. Jasper isn't blameless by any means, but they both hurt people Steven loves. You can't pick and choose who to forgive, Steven.

Hmm, Steven is pretty calm though all this. Heck, she's even giving Jasper a chance to say her piece. Maybe he's hoping she'll apologize? All he asked was for her to stay back, but he didn't tell her to get off the boat or even to leave them alone. It's really amazing that Steven always gives everyone a chance to explain themselves, to be redeemed, even if they've hurt him or his friends or he's scared of them.
"She's the one you should be afraid of!"
Those are some very bold words, Jasper. What does she mean by that? Lapis is powerful, sure... maybe the most powerful gem we've seen so far. She was able to take on the Crystal Gems all by herself, and she was winning until Steven interfered. She was even able to keep control of a fusion - not just controlling it, but keeping it together. Is that what Jasper means? Or is there something more she knows about Lapis' past?
Lapis doesn't deny anything that Jasper says, even though Steven is right there to defend her.
How can Jasper be so cute and yet so hurtful?
"I was terrible to you. I liked taking everything out on you. I needed to. I-I hated you. It was bad!"
Hmm, sounds like Jasper got more than she bargained for with that fusion. She forced Lapis into it, but in the end she was the one who was controlled. Yet in some sick and twisted way, they both liked it, for awhile.

Fusion is an extremely intimate experience in a gems life, one that Jasper has only experience through Malachite. Hopefully in the future, she can fuse in a more positive way, out of love, not hate.
