Last Thrusday, Rebecca Sugar treated a number of fans for an event at Barnes and Noble at The Grove in Los Angeles. Numerous of videos are already float around the web of her acoustic set and answering a number of fan questions, but allow me to show you some photos from the event that I took!

Steven Univesre: The Movie Screening at the TCL Chinese Theater in Hollywood

Steven Universe: The Movie will be having a speical screening at the Animation Is Film Festival in Hollywood, California. The film will be screened Sunday, October 20th at 1:15 PM at the historic TCL Chinese Theater on Hollywood Blvd. This special screening that is part of the festival and presented with behind-the-scenes footage. Tickets for this event are available on the Animation Is Film website.

Steven Universe: The Tale of Steven Autograph Signing at Gallery Nucleus

Gallery Nucleus will be hosting a signing for the artists of the upcoming book Steven Universe: The Tale of Steven. The artists of the book, Angie Wang and Elle Michalka, will be doing a signing at the art gallery on October 12, from 1 PM to 2:30 PM. Steven Universe: The Movie Screening Event in Los Angeles

This morning, Cartoon Network PR tweeted about a screening event for the upcoming Steven Universe movie! The event will be taking place on Monday, August 26th at the Theatre at Ace Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles. The doors will be open at 7 PM with the show starting at 8 PM.

However, shortly after the tweet went live, the entire screening sold out (rumor has it in about five minutes). This has left many fans (including myself) very bummed. The good news is that there is a strict 'no phones' policy to prohibit pictures and filming of the movie. This will help to keep the rest of us spoiler free for the remaining week before the film.

So, will be going? And would you mind me joining as your plus one?

Event Recap: After Hours: A Collection of Work by Jasmin Lai

Last Sunday, I was lucky enough to attend the art show 'After Hours: A Collection of Work by Jasmin Lai', featuring the artwork from background artist Jasmin Lai. The art gallery will still be featured at Q Pop Shop in Los Angeles' Little Tokyo until April 14th. I highly recommend visiting if you are able, and possibly purchase one of her prints like I did.

A small blurb about the gallery from the Q Pop Shop's website:

"After Hours is a collection of work that illustrates the moments outside of your nine to five job, or whatever it is that you do for a living. In the ever-changing city of Los Angeles, there are so many moments during our busy lives that we wish we could encapsulate."

Steven Universe Cosplay Gathering at WonderCon 2018

Hey all! Which of all of you are going to WonderCon in Anaheim, California later this month? Well, you are in luck because there will be a Steven Universe cosplay gathering at the convention! The gathering will be taking place on the last day of the con, Sunday, at 4 PM in front of the fountain (similar to previous years in Anaheim). Share the word with others! Steven Universe Fanart Show at Donut Panic in San Diego, California

Steven Universe takes over Voodoo Doughnut at Universal Studios Hollywood!

Little Ursa here with a long-delayed recap! Last month, Cartoon Network took over Voodoo Doughnut to celebrate the release of the first season of Steven Universe on DVD. I was lucky enough to be on the ground and get some photos of the event, and even get some of the special, Steven-y doughnuts! More photos after the break.

Do you happen to be in Southern California? Then you're in luck! Deedee Magno Hall will be taking part of the 'A Little New Music' show Tuesday March 6th! The show, happening at the Catalina Jazz Club in Hollywood, will feature an evening of musical theater hosted by J. Elaine Marcos (PRISCILLA QUEEN OF THE DESERT, ANNIE) and Michelle Ortiz (“MadTV”) and numerous of talent from stage and screen. The show is 21 and up, with tickets starting at $15 before the event and $25 at the door. Who knows, you might see me there!

Beach-A-Palooza 2: The Art-ening! is happening this Thursday!

Hey all! Little Ursa here giving one last shout out for a special Steven Universe event that will be happening in Southern California this Thursday! On February 1st at the Comic Book Hideout in Fullerton, California, there will be a fanart gallery that will be happening! The event is hosted for fans by fans, with all the artwork being submitted by fan artists. Also during the event, a cosplay contest will be hosted and will presented by me, Little Ursa! Host of the Steven Universe Universe, Victor Frost, to be a guest at Anime Los Angeles

Fans of the Youtube series 'Steven Universe Universe' might be happy to know that the host, Victor Frost, will be returning to Anime Los Angeles later this month! The videos, that talk about the various aspects of the universe of Steven Universe, are quite popular on Youtube and he is known for his various panels that take a deeper look into the show! If you happen to be in the Southern California area, you should definitely stop on by!

Cosplay Contest at Beach-A-Palooza 2: The Artening

Remember that Steven Universe Art Show that will be happening in Fullerton that I brought up back in December? There is a now an addition to the opening night, a cosplay contest! The following is the press release:

Hello all! I am excited to announce that in addition to the amazing fanart at Beach-A-Palooza 2; The Artening, we will be hosting a Steven Universe cosplay contest! Show up in costume and you could win a prize! February 1st, 2018 at Comic Book Hideout in downtown Fullerton! The opening is from 6-10 pm. Winners to be announced at 9 pm.

Mama Bares performing at PASACAT's Parol Lantern Festival on December 9th

Anime Expo 2017 Cosplay Gathering

One of the biggest anime conventions on the west coast, Anime Expo, is right around the corner and as usual there will be a Steven Universe cosplay gathering! Two years ago, the Steven Universe gathering was absolutely massive that we actually got shut down by the fire marshal due to a safety hazard. The gathering will be on the second day, Sunday July 2nd, at 3:30 PM at site 6. If you happen to go, you might see me, Little Ursa, bring out my Steven cosplay! Little Ursa at Steven Universe Soundtrack Listing Party at The Grove in Los Angeles

On May 31st, Cartoon Network held a very special event: the Steven Universe Soundtrack Listening Party. And in attendance was the amazingly talented Rebecca Sugar who introduced and talked about a few of the songs that are on the album.
